Have worked the third shift for 8 years. During that time, have purchased and tried probably every room darkening contraption known to mankind, none of which have been anywhere near as effective as this blackout EZ (I used the 45 X 66). In my situation, I had one window to cover and one full length glass on the door leading to the back yard). I was able to cut the 45 X 66 lengthwise in half and it covered both openings extremely well. Room is almost completely dark. Sleep is greatly improved!!! Now if I could only get my dog to stop nudging the door open when he needs to go outside or get a drink............ Great product, easy to apply/install, and really great people at EZ! I have spoken with the owner Tim and can honestly say that the conversation was a breath of fresh air when it comes to dealing with (any) company. He actually talks to you like a real person and not like he's reading from paragraph 2 on page 3 of the customer relations corporate handbook!!!! LaDawn is also great!....articulate and obviously aware that she is dealing with actual people with their own life problems and issues. If for no other reason, you should patronize Blackout EZ just for the far superior customer service!!! I will most definitely be purchasing again from them in the future. Side note: the hook and loop tape provided with your initial purchase is 5/8" tape..........if you need additional tape, order this size; I tried the 1/2" tape and found it to be just a bit too narrow for my application. All products ordered from this company were shipped promptly and well packaged.

I tried room darkening curtains and blinds. Still the light came in. So I researched the web and found Blackout EZ. This has got to be my best find ever. My room is so dark I have to use a light to see. It is fantastic. I work the night shift and no longer struggle with the daylight to sleep. I have told all my night shift co-workers about the site.

***NO NEED TO LOOK AT ANYTHING ELSE*** Just want to let you know that I purchased your product in March 2012 for my bedroom and adjoining bathroom to blackout daytime light. I searched high and low on the internet for products and was sold on just the basic idea that I saw on your YouTube video. Bottom line, it has been a God-send. Due to employment, I switched to 3rd shift and was wondering how the heck I was going to get my bedroom nighttime dark in the middle of the day. Your product makes my room midnight dark and even more because even the moon gives off light...so its even darker!! Thanks so much for your blackoutez window covers...they get my room darker than dark and get me the rest I need.

Ok, I NEVER usually have the time (with 2 kids under the age of 2) to write product reviews, but I feel compelled to tell you how wonderful this product has been for my family. The purpose of the purchase was to darken a room for a newborn and these blinds have done EXACTLY that! I am totally obsessed with blackout blinds and have used numerous methods to darken rooms in the past, usually resulting in hours of wasted time, but the EZ blinds have changed all of that!! :) They are unbelievably quick & easy to put up (I did it myself and believe me I'm no genius!) and can be opened and closed super easily allowing natural light into the room when you want it. I love them so much I've just bought a second pair for my elder daughters room who still takes a daytime nap. If you are considering buying blackout blinds, don't waste money on fancy custom roller blinds (which usually leave a gap around the blind thus not fitting flush to the window and therefore letting light in - yep, I've had these too!), buy the EZ blackout blinds for a fraction of the price that will darken your room completely.......and easily! :) ....... Our house has a western exposure which gets full sun plus every afternoon. The temperature on the upper floor is essentially unbearable till the AC catches up with it! We installed 4 windows worth of your product and the drop in temperature was immediate and substantial! Looking forward to a drop in the utilities as well as a very nice dark room on the days we can sleep in! Excellent product, good service and rapid delivery! 5 Stars Plus! Thanks!

I received the blackout yesterday and got it all up today. I am so excited and happy about the product. I have tried everything since 1987, when I started having migraine headaches, nothing really blocked the light. The headaches are gone but I like to nap during the day now. It was easy to put up and I can't believe how great it works. I took a picture with the bedroom door closed and open, in broad daylight. It is pitch black in there. Amazing !!!!!

Received my custom 71'' X 59'' window shade today and already put it up. WOW, this is perfect! Exactly what I needed and so neat how easy you can remove it if you want! Blacks out sunlight perfectly and was very simple to put up and place the velcro strips. Great invention, thank you very, very much...will be telling all my night owl friends about this simple and easy to put up product!

I live in Florida and we have a lot of beautiful sunshine,but sometimes it 's just to much.My husband saw this product online and had me order it.We love it,no matter what time of day,you can attach the blackout and instant darkness.It couldn't be any easier to install,the lines are there,just cut it where you want.We love to show off our room and how dark it can be to our friends and family,I just ordered another sheet for our guest room,and it keeps the room cooler. This product has been a life-saver for me. I'm a graduate student and need to pull all-nighters sometime and sleep during the day. Unfortunately, my bedroom is right in the path of the blazing afternoon sun. When I found the Blackout EZ Window Covers I had to try them. Its is truely amazing. After I installed them, and turned off the lights, its so dark, its as if I'm sleeping at night-time. I have no problem falling asleep right away now. This is a great product and I highly recommend it to everyone who needs a completely dark room during the day!

My family has joked for years that I'm a vampire by nature--not true...but I am a second shifter so I get to bed later and wake later--usually well after sunrise. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a dark room and the Blackout window covers are so much better than my room darkening cellular shades and drapes! I just installed my covers over our two bedroom windows. The instalation took less than 30 minutes and was very easy using the instructions provided, the video was also very helpful in understanding how to get the most out of the covers. They work great, I plan on sharing the review of the product with everyone at work.

Just a quick note to let you know how happy I am with your product. I still don't like shift changes, but at least now I have a chance to get some sleep since my bedroom is pitch dark even with the sunlight hitting the windows directly. One of the best purchases I have made in a while!

My Bedroom has 3 exterior walls, with a window on each one. It has been very difficult to make the room dark. I have tried curtains, blankets and tin foil but nothing has worked as well as the blackoutez cover. I have been able to sleep better than I have in years. But still have the option to remove them very easily when I need daylight in the room. I even ordered one for my baby's room since it is so easy to put up when needed and take down after nap time it has made a perfect window covering during nap time!
